I don't write clean and I don't write steamy. My books have all the tension and chemistry you love but without the explicit details. When it gets too intimate, the scene moves off the page (it's also called closed-door romance). There is also lots of flirty banter and innuendo. Is there swearing? Yes, but it isn't harsh and it isn't often. Just like in real life, it depends on the character and the situation. And, my standalone romances are all part of a series, because I love the sense of community they create.
